The
Hochschule Liechtenstein is the main contractor
of the SAETO project. The Liechtenstein University of
Applied Sciences is an internationally recognised university
with an outstanding reputation for combining theory
and practice. UFL is divided into two main faculties:
Architecture and Business Administration, with its sub-faculties
Financial Services, IT and Entrepreneurship. The university
is a foundation in public law, and can therefore work
independently and flexibly in pursuit of its mission.
The courses and knowledge transfer offerings are targeted
at the needs of society and the business world. They
are interdisciplinary in design and international and
practical in outlook. The full programme includes undergraduate
and master's degree courses, continuing education classes,
applied research and development, and technology and
knowledge transfer. A total over 500 students are currently
attending the various courses. |

GAIA,
the Association of Electronics and Information Technology
Industries of the Basque Country, works on the technologies
and specific aspects of each of the sub-sectors represented
by its members, as well as in common activities like
training, quality and so on. Among GAIA's own promotional
activities are: Organisation of conferences and seminars.
4-5 per year; Collaboration with Universities, Technological
centres and Research Centres; Programme of Continuous
Promotion of Quality, aimed at establishing the ISO
9000 and Total Quality Model (EFQM Excellence Model)
and Methologies (BSC, etc.) among its members. |

Institut für Industrielle Fertigung und Fabrikbetrieb
(IFF) belongs to the Universität Stuttgart,
Germany. Main research fields: surface and deposition
techniques, measuring techniques, reconfigurable manufacturing
systems and quality and life cycle management. Cooperation
with: Fraunhofer IPA (Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing
Engineering and Automation), Stuttgart. Both institutes
are managed by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Prof. E.h. Dr.-Ing. E.h.
Dr. h.c. mult. Engelbert Westkaemper. Researchers in
the field of QM are members of the jury of German Quality
Award "Ludwig-Erhard-Preis" and the board
of the German "Excellence Barometer". Former
research projects in the field of educational training:
WANTED 1088, MULTIPLE 3008 (5th Framework Programme),
LEVER (BMBF), BLIC (BMBF). Current applied research
projects in the filed of TQM; EFQM, in different industrial
sectors as well as with German associations (BVV association

KAOS
OHG was founded as an independent, Italian spin-off
of the Austrian training centre "Daxner and Pedevilla"
with a cross-cultural character for the training and
education of tomorrow in the Europe of today. KAOS is
a provider of education and training services located
in South Tyrol - Italy. Our work in the bilingual-Italian
speaking region and the resulting opportunities for
multicultural exchange make KAOS an institute with transnational
dimension. With our flexible and goal-orientated organisation
and a systemic approach KAOS is able to train the competencies
that today's fast-changing society requires. KAOS training
classes are normally concipated in the two regional
languages German and Italian. In our training we try
every time, to bring together high quality human resources
with the new technologies of blended learning, computer

Founded
in 1868, Ospelt Haustechnik AG is today the market
leader in Liechtenstein in the field of heating, clima
control, sanitary and planning of plumbing and heating
equipment. OHT was one of the first companies of its
sector to embrace TQM as part of its daily life. The
company was certified in 1997 for ISO 9001 and started
in 1998 with EFQM Self Assessment. To allow a penetration
and full understanding of the model on all levels of
the company, Dr. Ospelt, the current owner of the company,
developed in close co-operation with EFQM a scaled down
version of the Self-Assessment, targeting at a level
of easy understanding and comprehension for the people
in his company, copyrighted under the name "Fit
for Excellence". In 2000, OHT was named a price
winner of the Esprix (Swizz EFQM Award) on the first
try. |

- Sozialforschungsstelle Dortmund - is an institute
of the German federal state of North-Rhine Westphalia
exclusively dedicated to empiricalsocial research and
consultancy in all labour-related issues such as organisation
development, Human Resources development, vocational
training, health and safety, regional development, etc.
The mission of sfs is to focus on industrial and social
change processes. sfs understands itself as a competence
centre for an old industrial region, the Ruhr Area.
At present, with more than 90 employees and a current
annual turnover of EUR 4.4 million, sfs is one of the
largest centres in labour-related research in Germany.
As a public institute, sfs receives basic funding but
works completely for the market. sfs has a long European
project record stemming from the mid-eighties with more
than 120 projects under a great number of programmes. |

University of Žilina was established in
1953 as the University of Railway Transport in Prague
before it moved to Žilina in 1959. Over the years,
the scope and subjects of curriculum and research extended
heavily and at the beginning of the nineties, it was
renamed to the University of Žilina. Today it focuses
